For Schools & Caterers

SchoolBitez launches Tablet version of it's Point of Sale

Our new point of sale for iPad and Android tablets takes student lookup out of the checkout line. Students check in on a Student Queue tablet while the cashier serves the student ahead of them, so your lunch line keeps moving.

Point of Sale: student lookup, cart and checkout

The Bottleneck Isn’t the Register. It’s the Lookup.

SchoolBitez cloud based Point of Sale works great. On a large campus every student still waits for the cashier to be free before anyone can find their account. A few seconds per student adds up to minutes every lunch period.

Our customers asked for more options, so we built SchoolBitez POS for Ipad and Android Tablets. It handles the student queue asynchronously: students identify themselves on a tablet at the front of the line, without waiting for the cashier. By the time they reach the register, they are already on the cashier’s screen, with their photo, and the sale takes seconds.

Three Modes, One App

Set each tablet up for the job it does best: a cashier’s register, a check-in station, or a self-service kiosk.

Point of Sale

A fast, touch-first register for cafeteria staff. Tap menu items, scan grab-and-go products with a Bluetooth scanner, and confirm the student's photo before completing the sale.

Student Queue

Put a tablet at the front of the line. Students check themselves in with their PIN or Student ID and land in the cashier's queue, on Tablet POS or Web POS, so nobody waits while staff search for a name.

Self-Checkout Kiosk

Let teachers and adult students serve themselves. They pick their items, scan products and pay with a card on an attached Square card reader, with no clerk needed.

Built for the Speed of a School Lunch Line

Fast identification, fast scanning, and the flexibility to put a station wherever your line needs one.

PIN Pad for Student PINs or IDs

A highly configurable PIN pad accepts student PINs or Student ID numbers, whichever your school already uses, so students identify themselves in seconds.

Student Photo Verification

The student's picture appears right in the POS at checkout, so staff can confirm identity before charging the account.

Bluetooth Barcode & UPC Scanning

Pair a Bluetooth scanner with the tablet to ring up snacks, drinks and grab-and-go items by UPC, much faster than tapping through a menu.

Multiple Stations per School

Run as many registers, queue tablets and kiosks as your campus needs. Every station works from the same student accounts and balances.

Works with Web POS

Student Queue feeds both the tablet app and our browser-based Web POS, so you can mix tablets with the computers you already have.

iPad and Android Tablets

SchoolBitez POS is available on the App Store and Google Play, so you can choose the tablets that fit your budget.

Shorter Lines from Day One

Customer feedback on Tablet POS has been very positive, with an immediate return on investment.

At JKHA High School, Shimon and the food service team put Student Queue to work on a busy campus. With students checking in before they reach the register, the lunch line moves much faster. On a large campus, that difference shows up in the very first lunch period.
